Sourcing Specialist Asia (m/f) with focus on coal trade in Indonesia for German Energy Company
(Jakarta Raya - Indonesia/ Germany)
Requirements:
-At the beginning of your engagement for the company you will go through an extensive training period of 12-24 months at headquarters in Germany. You will have then either have the chance to set up a delegate office in Jakarta, Indonesia (or alternatively in a nearby Asian business center) or to remain at headquarters and coordinate the activities in Asia from there.
-As Sourcing Specialist Asia, you will represent the company’s interests with existing and new coal suppliers in Asia. This will include the assistance in negotiations of long-term contracts between headquarters in Germany and local suppliers, the quality assurance of outbound shipments as well as the general maintenance and improvement of relations with suppliers and official contacts (e.g. customs, foreign ministries etc.). In the medium-term, you will have the chance to build up a small team to be able to focus more on the development of new customers in Asia.
-This position will require continuous communication and team-work with German headquarters to ensure maximal success in all endeavours. Building on your intense initial learning phase at headquarters, you will have established a strong network within the company and will be in a position to transfer and apply all key processes (also in the area of logistics) and company values to the region. If applicable, your family will have the chance to accompany you during your stay in Germany.
