Senior Business Analyst
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Financial modelling and analysis to support key business decisions for maximising return on assets, equity and forward investments. This will include the assessment of different business models for the maximization of return on natural resource assets.
- Research economic key value drivers from a wide range of sources, including industry, market, academic, and governmental.
- Provide a business analysis service for identification, measurement and improvement of the key value drivers.
- Pro-active communication and relationship building at all levels with THE GROUP`s and its subsidiaries to build the Company’s commercial understanding and improve decision making.
- Assist the development of reports & commentary on key performance drivers.
- Participate in annual Plan and Forecast functions and shareholder reporting as coordinated by SVP BD.
- Maintain systems for incorporating production and cost data into reporting requirements.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Tertiary qualifications and possessing 10 years relevant experience.
- Very strong numeracy, research and analytical skills.
- Proficiency and experience in economic and financial modelling. This to include sensitivity analysis, optimization and scenario planning.
- An understanding of the business fundamentals of an exploration and mining operation, and general familiarity with commodity markets, preferably Seaborne Thermal Coal.
- Advanced MS Excel Skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of initiative.
- Fluency in English.
