Shell MDS Malaysia Sdn Bhd (152396-W) owns and operates the world’s first commercial gas-to-liquids plant. It produces about 500,000 tpa of a range of ultra-clean hydrocarbon products from natural gas.
Process Engineer - Ensure Safe Production
(Sarawak - Bintulu, Sarawak, Malaysia)
Requirements:
-Possess a relevant tertiary education;
-At least 6 years’ experience in manufacturing and refinery positions in Oil and Gas sector;
-Ability to step back and look at the bigger picture on issues;
-Experience in change management and quality management tools and techniques;
-Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to actively coach, influence and inspire at all levels within the organization are essential.
Responsibilities:
-Development of the Ensure Safe Production (ESP) Variable Table depicting the operating window for each process parameter;
-Develop, validate and update the operating windows following process safeguarding Hazard & Operability (HAZOP) studies, -Instrumented Protective Function (IPF) and Corrosion Control Documents on Site;
-Monitor plant performances and advise on required adjustments to operating conditions;
-Report on the performance of the various operating units and recommend way forward;
-Provide technological advice to process units and Production Monitoring Optimization (PMO) development tools;
-Investigate on process incidents & troubleshoot processes;
-Act as focal point and support for start-up and commissioning of unit operations.
