Furniture Quality Assurance/technical Manager
Job Requirements
-Have in depth knowledge of wood furniture construction, finishing , sourcing and manufacturing
-Have the skills and exp to personally evaluate factories technically.
-Be able to put in place critical manufacturing process controls for furniture production
-Can identify quality control process problems within factories and work with the factory to rectify-setting up the PQS stations
-Be able to review design packages with merchants and vendor technician
-Be a proven troubleshoot with a hands on approach to manufacturing operations.
Job Task
The Furniture QA/Technical Manager is responsible for execution of the technical and quality requirements of client’s products in terms of required mechanical functionality relevant performance standards and finish appearance. The furniture QA/Technical Manager will:
-Manage and coordinates the activities of the furniture QA inspectors/technicians
-Checks all techs’ reports before giving them to the merchants and QA. Reports are Q common for samples reviews, PP meetings, work instructions. In house tests
-Communicate all information to the technicians and furniture QA inspectors.
-Resolve technical issues prior to production and troubleshoot issues arising during execution of orders
-Provide feedback to the client vie merchants on updating technical requirements based on the achievable production standards of each factory as required.
-Guide the local furniture team on the implementation of directives set by Connor Corporate Furniture
-Perform technical factory evaluations.
-Conduct training to the technicians, QA and Merchants.
-Compensation will be commensurate to qualifications
