NEEDED: LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
General Requirement:
- Four (4) year college degree in Biological Sciences with courses in microbiology
- one (1) year documented microbiology laboratory experience
- Proficient with computer software, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access;
- English Level III proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing.
Duties:
- Under supervision, prepares, uses, and stores laboratory reagents;
- performs diagnostic assays as directed;
- maintains and operates laboratory equipment;
- accessions, processes and archives clinical specimens submitted to the laboratory.
- Familiar with cryo-storage of pathogens.
- Maintains scientific laboratory notebooks and computer data files.
