Senior Structural Engineer
The Jobs:
· To provide a focal point for knowledge/expertise in all aspects of civil / structural and associated technology as allocated by the Lead Engineer
· Execute the delegated work schedule with limited supervision and supervise assigned personnel when appointed to Lead Engineer roles
· Prepare or check, specifications, data sheets, requisitions, bid summaries, technical recommendations, calculations, designs and drawings, etc., as required, for approval by the Lead Engineer
· Prepare/check design reports, specifications, and calculation notes by using spreadsheet and/or computer software, such as pile penetration, foundation, settlement, soil review, etc.
· Prepare/check civil / structural design drawings and details as required
· Prepare/check Structural Analysis by using spreadsheet and/or computer software, such as in-place, seismic, lifting, load-out, transportation analysis, fatigue analysis, etc.
· Review vendor documentation
· Coordinate Discipline activities within Civil / Structural Engineering, with other departments and liaise with vendors on specific project assignments. Also co-ordinate subcontract activities as necessary to meet project and proposal completion dates
· Maintain awareness of correct technology to improve and broaden expertise by identify new and improved techniques and methods of working to effect greater efficiency
· Assist in the training/development of department personnel
· Ensure Compliance with Company Standards and Procedures and Health and Safety Regulation
· To read, understand and implement the Company Policy and the arrangements described in Company Management System documents
· Recommend improvements to company operating procedures
· Perform site visit and field assignment as required
The Requirement:
· Minimum Bachelors Degree in Civil/Marine engineering with a working knowledge of Civil/Structural engineering subject relative to engineer ing contracting.
Substantial experience gained at an engineering contractor is required and the ability to work with limited supervision together with the ability to supervise subordinates.
Minimum 6 years experience in Oil & Gas industry.
