Build Change is looking for qualified staff to support post earthquake housing reconstruction in West Sumatra and Bengkulu. The position below requires strong understanding of humanitarian principles and development ethics, and willingness to work in a dynamic, learning

Construction Apprentices
Provide hands-on technical assistance and training to homeowners and builders who are rebuilding
earthquake-damaged houses. Duties include supervising safe demolition of transitional and earthquake-damaged structures, filling out daily reports, checking construction quality, and checking materials quality. Successful candidates will have hands-on experience supervising and building masonry, reinforced concrete, and timber buildings, and ability to interact well with homeowners and tukangs.
Minimum SMA or STM degree in building required. Speak Bahasa Minang.
Experience with surveying and drawing site plans is a plus.
