Save the Children UK (SCUK) is a leading international NGO working to create a better world for children. We provide emergency relief and implement education, health and child protection programmes. We are seeking a highly dynamic and experienced national staff to work on rewrite the future for children affected by conflict in Indonesia programmes in AMBON and SERAM:
DEPUTY PROGRAM MANAGER 1 post in Seram(Code: DPM)
The post holder is to provide direct leadership, close supervision & additional management support directly to the provincial program team given the scope & relative complexity of the Maluku program. Acting as a liaison between the PM & the program team, negotiates, facilitates & supports effective coordination & integration of core management functions & project implementation to ensure team members work clearly, cooperatively & effectively toward program goals & priorities.
MAIN DUTIES:
-Manage, plan & coordinate overall program functions to achieve efficient, effective, accountable, transparent & professional management of resources.
-Plan, monitor & control project budgets as delegated in collaboration with the finance team & PM
-Supervise & manage project & support staff to promote effective human resource management & development to build the capacities of the Maluku team
-Represent the organization & strategically cultivate high-value, effective relationship with local key players related to the projects
-Manage, plan & coordinate project implementation & facilitate technical inputs to project staff to ensure project implementation is consistent with grant proposal & budget parameters, donor compliance regulations, internal control systems & SCUK policies & standards.
-Support development & evolution of key organizational initiatives, including transition under Change for children.
-Manage & oversee the timely production of narrative & financial reports for donors, internal stakeholders & external parties.
-Conduct assessments & assist the PM in designing & developing proposals for new projects for the area.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Bachelor degree in relevant fields, preferably Master’s
-At least 3 years experience in managing finances, office operations & supervising staff
-Has experience of managing projects, preferably with international NGOs
-Has experience in developing, maintaining & improving working relationship with local government & other NGOs
