Our partner is looking for the following position. The selected candidate will be based in Bandung and communicate directly with the piers in Netherlands.
SENIOR PROCESS DESIGN ENGINEER OIL & GAS
We design and build skid based process equipment like: condensate/gas separators, chemical injection systems, mud coolers, fuel gas skids and several other on- and offshore equipment. For our engineering department we have a vacancy for a senior process design engineer who can help us to develop new projects and analyse optimization possibilities in our current designs.
Accountabilities
Reporting to the Project Engineer, you will be accountable for the delivery of high quality process engineering services:
* Developing the process design for a project proposal
* Analysing a process in different business cases by running process simulations in PRO/II or HYSES
* Using the results of the process simulations to produce key-design documents (PFD?s, P&ID?s, heat&mass balances, safety evaluation charts, process basis of design)
* Using the results of the process simulations to produce datasheets for process related equipment (vessels sizing, heat exchangers, separators, pumps, control valves, safety valves)
* Analyzing the designs of vendors providing specific equipment
* Developing safety and control philosophy for a design and delivering input for HAZOP studies
* Co-Writing unit operation manuals (start-up and shut-down)
* Reviewing the work of others and providing technical guidance to piping, instrumentation and equipment engineers
Profile
* You are a fully qualified design process engineer with a Bsc or Msc in Chemical Engineering
* Five or more years of directly related working experience in the Oil&Gas industry
* Fluent in English and willing to travel.
* Computer literacy for process simulation programs, familiar with process simulation in PRO/II or HYSES
* Experience with concept, basic, detailed and construction design / engineering phases.
* Able to perform basic calculations on pressure vessels, heat exchangers, safety valves, separators.
* Knowledge of relevant Codes and Standards, such as; the ASME Codes, PED, API / ASTM Standards. Prepared to share and gain knowledge and update knowledge on relevant codes and procedures on all relevant discipline aspects.
* Affinity to work on international, multidisciplinary turn-key projects.
You have solid technical knowledge combined with a desire to coordinate all aspects of the process design and supervise others in the process.
