Our Client, an oil and gas company is currently looking for:
Position : Senior Safety Engineer (Technical Authority)
Jakarta Base – for Expatriate only
Responsibilities And Tasks:
- Provide leadership, steerage and coaching to the COMPANY Operations
Group with regards Safety Engineering philosophies, principles and
objectives;
- Advise the COMPANY Operations Group on Safety Engineering issues
relating to technical integrity and it s maintenance;
- Ensure the continued currency and update of the COMPANY Operations
Safety Case as incremental design changes proceed during the
Operations Phase;
- Ensure the continued currency and update of the Major Accident Risk
(MAR) review process during the Operations Phase;
- Provide leadership in the development of the COMPANY Operations
Safety Management System (SMS) and contribute toward it s roll-out to
the Operations Group and continued application during the Operations
Phase;
- Contribute toward the design and implementation of a dynamic
programme for continuous safety performance improvement during the
Operations Phase;
- Ensure that change proposals and change proposal specifications are
reviewed and aligned with the COMPANY Basis of Design and are assessed
in relation with corporate requirements and recognized industry
standards to deliver facilities technical integrity;
- Ensure the use of appropriate standards, practices and design
guidelines throughout the Safety Engineering area and ensure non
compliances are subject to the consultative process;
- Evaluate requests for exceptions to specifications and industry
standards and advise the Tangguh Operations Group accordingly;
- Facilitate the BP Management HSE Review Process;
- Participate in HAZOP s, LOPA and SIL activity associated with change
proposals and manage action close out;
- Participate in HSE Meetings and any Safety Engineering audit activity;
- Advise the COMPANY Operations Group of lessons learnt from other LNG
Operations and where justified propose appropriate improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:
The successful incumbent shall be an engineering graduate and
Chartered Engineer with a minimum of 20 years experience of oil and
gas projects and operations.
