Our client, an Independent Surveying Service Company, is seeking an experienced candidate for the following position:
Agri Business Development Manager (Code: ABD)
Job Function:
- Responsible for research and development of agri-business for the Company in liaison with other functional units.
- Establish business potential in the agriculture sector
- Establish the current needs of the market segment, linkages with key market players and identifying specific customer needs that may require review of existing products or development of new tailor made products
- Co-ordinate with key institutions relevant to agricultural sector and its value chain including Government and Development partners
- Develop project concepts, proposals and business plans appropriate for the sector
- Project co-ordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
Requirements:
- Male/Female, max 40 years old
- Must have a Bachelors degree in either Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Commerce or Marketing
- A Master degree in Business Development/Entrepreneurship will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven track record in successful business development in the agricultural sector
- Familiar with Agricultural products
- Technical knowledge and experience in related industry
- Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written) and negotiation skills
- Must be strong in research and analytical skills
- Advanced report writing and presentation skills
- Must have project development and management skills
- Excellent interpersonal/networking skills
- Good personal judgment, initiative, creativity and maturity
- Able to travel outstation.
- Able to work independently and coordinate several activities simultaneously with regular communications to all parties.
- Able to interact with clients.
- Applies judgment and acts according to Company Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
- Result-oriented and able to work under-pressure with limited of time.
- Good interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written English communication.
